Collection and processing of personal data
Team Marin collects personal data directly from you as an exhibitor or visitor. Through Team Marin's digital channels, we offer you to register for our fairs and other events. When you register as an exhibitor, you provide information such as name, e-mail address, company details. As a visitor to the fair, you provide information and your personal name and e-mail address, as well as any company name. In order for us to be able to prepare your visit and adapt our communication and offers to you, we may also save certain data. For example, it could be about future fairs you want to visit or products you are interested in.
Any processing of personal data is motivated by one or more of the following legal grounds: Fulfillment of contract, fulfillment of legal obligation, consent, legitimate interest, documenting/developing our business or preventing and preventing criminal activity. Fulfillment of an agreement may, for example, involve Team Marin having to have certain personal data when booking a visit or participating in a trade fair. Fulfillment of legal obligation may be personal data we must have in order to fulfill the requirements placed on us according to the Accounting Act. Legitimate interest is the interest we consider ourselves to have as a company in marketing our events to you who are professionals in the relevant industry. In the case of marketing mailings by e-mail, you can refuse further mailings by either notifying us via the address below or using the unsubscribe link found in the mailing.
Protection of personal data and storage time
Team Marin is constantly working to maintain and improve protection measures for personal data. Such protection can, for example, consist of physical protection (access to IT systems, buildings, etc.), protection against data breaches and virus attacks and protection for accessibility, for example that only authorized persons can work with the personal data we store. As part of our security work, we update and clean the database regularly, for example by removing e-mail addresses that bounce or returns on mailings we made by post. We store your personal data in order to fulfill the purposes described above. Storage times for personal data vary depending on the relationship you have with Team Marin, if you are, for example, an exhibitor or visitor and what kind of communication is intended. Such communication can be, for example, newsletters with information to exhibitors or marketing and information to visitors. The storage times also depend on which trade fair or event the data is intended to be used in. Thinning takes place continuously in connection with the end of a trade fair and the start of marketing for the next edition of that trade fair. The use of personal data can be for a maximum of 8 years. If you wish to cancel the storage of your personal data prematurely, you can request this by means of a written request to us, see address below under "Your rights".
How we use personal data
Team Marin handles and uses your personal data to be able to fulfill our commitments to you and to be able to prepare your visit, adapt offers and information to you so that you get our best service. The information is also used so that we can develop our products and services and create an even better meeting place. Your personal data is stored and used, for example, for information, newsletters via e-mail, marketing or market research about our fairs and events. Team Marin may also pass on information to our related company Arkipe AB, which invoices exhibitors. Team Marin does not transfer personal data to countries outside the EU/EEA. Team Marin does not use information from children or minors and does not engage in marketing directed at children or minors.
Photography and film
Even images and videos that are stored digitally can be personal data. Team Marin generally works with images and videos at our fairs and events. It is an important part of showcasing our meeting place for marketing purposes. We use images and videos on our websites, social media and for other marketing purposes for Team Marin and our events. A fair or event is generally considered a public place where public photography is permitted. Team Marin has a legitimate interest in documenting the business with general photos and videos, and such photos may thus be used without asking each individual person in the photo. According to the GDPR, special consent is required for personal data that is identifying and where individuals are the focus. This means that we need to have your specific consent when pictures and films are taken to be used or stored digitally, where it is clear that it is you in the picture or film. Team Marin works with verbal permission for such recording of images or films, and so do the contractors who work on this on behalf of Team Marin. All images and videos are handled responsibly and with respect for personal integrity.
